T-Mobile Home Internet Full Setup Tutorial 2024

After receiving your T-Mobile Home Internet gateway you have to use the app for a first time setup in order to use the service. It should be fairly straight forward but I noticed a lot of 1 star reviews on the App Store noting a few different issues preventing people from getting set up. I did run into a few myself so I made this video to walk you through the setup process, show the few issues I had, and how I fixed them to get up and running.

I'm so glad we're headed toward aesthetically pleasing, cheap wifi. I'm using an at&t netgear nighthawk m1 mobile hotspot for my home internet right now and it works like a charm. The 100 gigs of 4g data I get for $55/month is more than enough for my individual internet, streaming and gaming needs. I'm interested in t-mobile's home internet though for when 100 gigs inevitably becomes insufficient.

Hello, everyone! I was having trouble after connecting to the "T-Mobile" network that popped up. It showed "Connected No Internet". I fixed it by unplugging the power cord for the T-Mobile router and plugging it back in. Few minutes later, the T-Mobile network connected and allowed me to change the network name and password to whatever you prefer. Hope this helps. Brian.

I would not have gotten past the admin name and password without you sharing to backspace over the last chapter and retype it. It's not available where I live but I was able to get it anyway at my location using a loophole. Works great with excellent signal so far. You have to find an address that T-Mobile recognizes in thier data base as a good coverage. When your in the setup process you have to manually input that address to trick it, continue the setup and should work. Recommend putting it as high as possible and near a window for better results. A lot of frustrating problems demonstrated for the non-tech among us. I was planning to sign up but I've changed my mind unless T-Mobile will assist in the setup which online they said they'd do. We'll see. Thanks for letting us see how non-smooth the equipment can be compared to the advertising pitches.

The support agent talked me into buying this 5G gateway. I was highly suspicious because I barely get one bar for my T-Mobile cell phone at my house. But she said according to her math I am in a very good coverage area for the gateway which she said is different than my cell signal. So I get the gateway powered up, put it right next to the window upstairs in the middle of my house just like the instructions say, no signal WAN0021 error. ☹️

Setting up looks like a mess to me. I started up the new T mobile modem, and got a message of "no sim card installed". Am taking it to a T mobile sales person in Costco. If they can't help, back to the main

also on app it can help improvement location forthe router to face nearest tower, look on cell mapper look for nearest tower from your address

Does this require a Ethernet cable in order to work to just the main plug in adapter. Also my parents have this but it doesn’t reach the basement where I sleep . Can I buy another one and set it up ?

Do you have to have T-Mobile for cellular service too, my dad sister and I have Boost Mobile which uses T-Mobile for cellular coverage

Does anyone know if I can use this work from home via two desktop monitors via enthernet ? I'm in Miami area this just a temporary situation until I move and reconnect my comcast I'm not sure about using this long term I have to set this up yet .
