I never realised how remarkably beautiful this sculpture is! I've seen pictures and cheap replicas, never anything like this. Thank you!

I cannot believe this is over 3000 years old. Absolutely beautiful. She really deserves her own room like she has.

Beautiful and fascinating piece of art and history. The subtlety is astounding for the time-- the sparkle of the eyes, the wry hint of a smile. It actually looks like she's looking at something (or someone) that gives her pleasure. I'm just stunned by her every time i see her. Too bad i will probably never see this in person...

She is lovely. Such a shame to miss those eyes, I bet they were striking. But I love the detail of her eyelids and the gentle creases around her lips. She was exalted in life and is still being honored centuries thereafter. It'll be interesting to see other depictions of her.

Hi, I have watched her recently for the second time in Berlin . Truely amazingly beautiful and incredible that she is more than 3000 years old . From the brilliance of the colours, it seems she has just been discovered one week ago....
Since she is from Egypt, one should at least give one very sophisticated copy
to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo as a good will gift. Greetings Conny

I think Thutmose fell in love with the piece and never finished it because it would have to leave him if he did.

Here to read the comments of people trying to put her features into a box category of white or black 🤣🤣 They forget Africa is the oldest and the beginning of mankind so every race and it’s features can be found on our beloved continent. Fact

There is a lot of speculation as to the authenticity of the bust. There are other busts of Nefertiti in the museum that are very dissimilar.

There are so many theories circulating about this beautiful bust, even among learned Egyptologists. Fact is that we shall never know why it was made and for what purpose.

We should be thankful that it wasn't destroyed in the Battle of Berlin (1945).

As we use to call her: „The most beautiful Berlin female“. ☺️

Do you know how they knew it was the face of Nefertiti? Because they compared her face with other Nefertiti faces (sculptures)...

I cannot agree with you: The bust of Nofretete ( as the Germans call her) is just one of the treasures of Berlin. Did you forget the ebony and gold head of Ti? What about the Greco-roman mummy. I don't remember his name, but I know He's one of the best Fayum portraits. There is more: that museum is amazing!

I saw a picture -video about Alain Delon, legendary for his beauty; being next to the picture of Nefertiri
I could not miss the fact that the androginous sculpture of the ancient queen, resembles the features of the French actor!!🤔

...but other depictions of Nefertiti in stone with her husband Akhenaten shows a Black man with a Black women. They both have Black features.
