The only reason the free to play model is making people worried it because it isn't likely there'll be a singleplayer mode. Skate has never been a multiplayer game despite it having the function because its not competitive. If you at other free to play games in the world, almost all are designed for people to win and lose. But skate is mainly a designed for casual players. As much as a free to play game model makes sense for Fortnite or valorant, I don't think skate will make it very far

Garbage take. The gameplay is fire, that's all that matters right now. If it's "doomed" then it'll be shit when it comes out. Don't make conclusions when all we have is great gameplay and the full game isn't even out yet.

honestly who tf cares about paying for cosmetics? There are actual advantages:

1. Locking cosmetics behind a paywall will make more diversity.

2. Because cosmetics will be their only source of income, they will make a LOT of them (so basically nobody will look the same)

3. You could use the 60$ that you were supposed to pay for the game to buy cosmetics and look unique.

Currently, "taps" which is the in game currency, is very easy to obtain. The micro transaction side of things most likely rely on "hype" as a gold payed for currency. Which will change the appearance of items youve already bought with the currency youve earned from playing the game.

Look at EA with Apex Legends, did they lie to you there? I personally prefer a F2P model with paid cosmetics as it will bring exclusivity to the cosmetics and will keep the game alive. Don't tell me you wanna pay $60 and have everyone wear the same cosmetics as you, that's lame. CSGO and Fortnite are other examples of how this scheme works. Get over it.
