Tracking the situation in NUP | ON THE SPOT

Death and destruction on the streets of Kampala as police and the military battle supporters of Hon Robert Kyagulanyi who is spending a second night behind bars at Nalufenya police station in the Eastern city of Jinja.
Police say sixteen people have died in this chaos though other sources have put the number of those who have died close to thirty. Protestors on the streets of Kampala and else where in Uganda are demanding for the release of NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi.
