Worst Neighbor Ever? Neighbor feud escalates to man-made wall

It's Schenectady's version of the Hatfields and McCoys. A feud between next-door neighbors that's grown out of control and has drawn the attention of everyone around.

Neighbor 1: "It’s ridiculous."

Neighbor 2: "I don't know what sparked it or what happened, but it's now escalated to tarps and bad neighbor signs."

Neighbor 3: "Apparently they just don't get along, but to do this stuff, uh, it’s really not nice."

The battle between neighbors on Van Ryn Avenue near Brown School has turned into a community eyesore, and includes a manmade fence towering between the feuding neighbors.

Now the neighborhood has had enough and turned to CBS 6 for help.

Why would anyone in their right mind think that throwing anything into their neighbor's yard, is okay? Wrong. You want to feed the squirrels, that's fine, but feed them on your own yard. That makes a good neighbor. Otherwise you are harassing your neighbor on his own property.

We put up with crazy neighbors for 10 years. They didn't own it, it was a summer house for the mother-in-law but she let them move in, and they just stayed. Finally, they moved, the house was torn down and the lot sold, new house built and nice new neighbors now. It was a living Hell though.

The blue house is out of line. Throwing stuff over their fence on to a neighbor property is wrong! Then the bird feeders is too much then the birds is pooping on the neighbors house.

My neighbour put up a 12' tarp between our properties, then she put a dog behind it and the poor thing barks everytime i come outside, she does other stuff, its all meant to annoy me. It hurts...but what can i do?
i dont have the $ to move & there is a severe housing shortage in my city.
Im trapped, a prisoner.
But i am lucky VERY lucky, im not in a shelter.

The guy in the blue house would've been told ONE TIME to stop throwing peanuts into my yard. Then he visits the hospital & I visit the jail. I guarantee I'd be coming home before he does.

Sorry, I side with them, it’s their property. I had the same problem for 20 yrs with my neighbors. They would wait till I wasn’t home and constantly use my driveway and front yard as a turnaround. One neighbor next door would throw dead fish and glass over my fence. Finally I had enough, I put a huge sign on my front lawn that said, My Neighbors ruin my property! My homeowners said to take it down or they will sue me, I went to the police and they told me, it’s your property, you can put whatever you want. The neighbors from hell have now moved 😂

If you look at Google Maps, the blue tarps are gone, but there are still signs. The neighbors across the street have very wisely put up a fence and shrubs so that they don't have to see the nonsense of the neighbors across the street. I wanted to look it up because they are Dutch street names and I'm Dutch.

My neighbor had a big sign out with another neighbor’s full government name on it. It said other neighbors government name killed my dog. Our neighbor really had poisoned his dog with rat poison and admitted to it to everyone.

Gosh this is nothing compared to our neighbor.He is totally ruining our neighborhood. City does nothing.
