2 best steaks ever?

1.the crust is uneven.
2.thats about medium
3.where is the seasoning? 5 grains of salt for a fat steak wont do.

You wanna heavily season such a fat steak.
Good amount of salt, black pepper, and i like it with garlic powder too.

Another thing you wanna do is rub high temp oil on that steak before putting it the pan. Ribeye as shown is not packing a lot of fat so it will not sear evenly. The oil can serve as a great heat conductor for a nice even sear.

Later on you can add butter thyme and garlic and baste your steaks.
It helps them cook on the inside and makes them more rich juicy and flavorful.

For doneness you should save your trouble. Just use a thermometer, 132 on the screen and youre with it. A perfect medium rare.

Now to not over cook it for a crust. You wanna get you pan extra hot. Let it get hot on high for like 5 minutes before you start

I usually add a high temp oil, then go 2 mins on each side for every inch before flipping the steak. Gets a better crust and gets a medium rare to medium cooked steak every time.
