Summary:
Prediabetes is characterized by higher than normal blood glucose levels. This means the fasting blood glucose level is in the 100 to 125 milligrams per decilitre range, and the hemoglobin A1C level is between 5.7 and 6.4 percent. Pre-diabetes is also referred to as impaired glucose tolerance (IGT), or impaired fasting glucose (IFG).

When your blood glucose levels are higher than normal, but not high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes, this is a condition known as prediabetes. So why is pre-diabetes a big deal? I have a very simple rule of thumb:
No Lollies (candies)
No Chocolates
No Chips
No Biscuits (cookies)
No Soda
No Bread
Easy when added to Intermittent fasting. I have an eating window of 12pm - 6pm.
I have done this for 15 weeks, lost 31lbs and reversed symptoms of pre-diabetes. You can do it too.

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes a year and a half ago, and i was told to be irreversable and i would be on metformin and statins for the rest of my life.
Well i threw the metformin and statins i had left in the rubish bin and never took them again. I went on a keto diet and did IF, plus i started going to the gym for cardio and weights workouts. I lost a stone and and a quarter in weight, got down to 15% body fat,
Improved my fitness tremendousely, and at my last blood test i reversed my diabetes, with my readings even below average.
The nurse who was assigned to me and who took my blood, couldn't believe her eyes and when i told her i did without medications, she was lost for words. I told her that diabetes is a diet induced condition, and can be reversed by changing your bad diet alone, that's all no meds needed. I told her to suggest her old fashion doctor to take a refresher, cause he's out of date, and stop pushing his poisonous tablets recklessly...lol..

type two diabetes can certainly be reversed i did it by changing my diet. stop eating rice, flour, bread, i never drink sodas, pushing weights at the gym on a regular basis, plus i blended vegetables, kale 🥬, spinach, beetroot, cucumbers, okras, raw peanuts consistently. my doctor was shocked 😳 all he could say was WOW

Had 5.7 May 2022, made changes to my sugar & carbs intake, bought juices with very low sugar with stevia. One year later May 2023 i'm at 5.4 and lost 35lbs and feel so much better.

I have diabetes starting at 50 years old. I wasn't compliant on diet control consistently. Now I have stage 3 kidney disease and nerve damage in toes. That got me finally compliant on diet. It took repeated YouTube videos to motivate me to stay on a healthy low carb, low sugar diet. Once your on a low carb diet for 3 months you will not crave sweets like you will initially. I feel so much better. You will succeed if you don't live with someone buying rice, spaghetti, cookies, bread, soda. Occasionally if your sugar stays up fast 16 hours and also do exercise for 1 hour that makes you sweat.

I recently found out that I am pre-diabetic. I will start following a low card/high-fat diet tomorrow. Pray that I stick to it.

I am just below prediabetes so I asked my doctor to label me that, as my insurer rejected paying for my A1C. My mother died @ 61 with all the complications of diabetes including blindness, amputation & kidney failure despite insulin. She was noncompliant. Both my younger brothers are diabetic, one excellent control, one is noncompliant. I am overweight. I never eat fast food. I need to increase walking, lower my carbohydrates. Look @what areas you need to work on.
Look @ the American Diabetes Association on low carbohydrate diet. Lose weight, walk daily. Turn your projected anger against MD profits into action to better you. You deserve it. Jeanne retired RN

As a type 2 diabetic for over 20 years my most profound realization about the medical profession is their total lack of understanding of nutrition. I proved this to a point that my doctor quit her practice to go back to school to specialize in Diabetes. It took me years of trial, error and an understanding nutrition and portions, losing 150 pounds, walking 2 miles a day and getting my a1c from over 11 to 6.5 and being taken off ALL my diabetes meds, the results are undeniable.

DAMN!! I had these for years (hopefully not number 1) and was diagnosed with type 2 about 6 years ago. I had a heart attack shorty after being diagnosed with type 2 (2005) and a stroke earlier this year. I went "all in" and started a strict, clean Keto diet. My last A1C was 5.6 off the metformin and glimpiperide (was 7.6 on the drugs). I've also lost 40lbs on keto.

I wish videos like this were mandatory viewing, it would give so many people necessary info to change their lives.

To the currently 10 thumbs down, you must have a serious dissociative disorder. The info is sound and beneficial.

I reversed my type 2 by going low carb, eliminating seed oils, sugar and all processed foods. Lost 30 lbs. too!
Suprisingly my chronic thick calluses and toenails disappeared, replaced by supple healthy skin.

The first goal should be to maintain your BMI. Major battle won. Cut the sweet tooth short. Exercise moderately. Brisk walk or cycling 30 minutes a day is desirable. You are a winner. 👍

I got a 5.2 on my A1C. I'm not technically prediabetic and yet I still experience many of these symptoms like tiredness, weight gain, urination. irritability, aching joints, skin conditions. So far I've lost about 30lbs, from 415 to 385. But I have a long way to go.
