Love this song & have learned to play & sing it . Met Rob a few times at Kingston school of music where my daughter took voice lessons with Julie Mylks. One time at Centre stage music we had our Strats in for repairs. He was getting both pickups replaced, but only one was not working. I needed just one pickup replaced so he gave me the spare good pickup from his Strat. Nice guy; very down to earth & easy to talk with.

This is the most emotional, memory rehashing, rollercoaster of a ride for me. I'm 47 and this made me 21 again.

Missing Gord of course. The Hip have one of the greatest sonic mixes in music ever. I kept waiting for Gord Sinclair's bass to kick in!

Ok like everyone else here...I was all weepy after seconds...If your Canadian....or even not, but know The Hip...how could you not be. Over the years I've learned to play pretty much every Hip song there is...as a guitar player why wouldn't you. It was during the first COVID lockdown here in Prague, listening to Fiddler's Green and Rob Baker's lilting (Open tuning) acoustic progressions that made me (at 60years Old) pick up my last remaining Guitar (a Larrivee Acoustic) after years of just looking at it...tune it to Open E and play Fiddler's Green which lead to buying 4 more guitars (3 Electric and a Dobro) in the course a year...Now I need 3 more acoustics to keep one in open C one in open G, one in open D (which capoed 2nd fret gets you open E) and one in Standard just so I can, without re-tuning, just pick up a guitar and play: "Ahead by a century", "Bobcaygeon", "Fiddler's Green", "Wheat Kings", "Boot or Hearts", "38 years old"...all songs I never get tired of playing...not to mention all of Rob and Paul's driving electric anthems...Thanks Rob...and Paul...for bringing my music back to me. And thanks Gord Downie for your poetry and thoughtfulness that will never leave us. I have been preaching the gospel of The Hip for 30 years to everyone I know here in Europe.

Nice to see Jennifer "the prize Queen" I always had a crush on her. She gave me a prize for singing karaoke on Lunch Television on our high school field trip. It was a great day. <3
