I teared up watching this. The soundtrack to my life. Not a week goes by that I don't listen to at least a dozen Hip songs. My favorite band of all time and it is not even close. How lucky are we that they existed?

I grew up in Northern NY. On the Border. Forever A Tragically Hip Fan. Was at Kingston for last Concert. Cried till I had no tears left. Only joy know I experienced the most amazing Show of all Time.

The Tragically Hip not only provided a musical score for a nation, but they created the soundtrack for the lives of individuals throughout North America who were touched by their music.

This Texas loves and misses Gord and The Hip. First show was1994 in Dallas where they played to about 100 people. Thank you to our Canadian friends for sharing The Hip a little bit down here.

This band changed my life. A couple of years ago, I also lost my Mother to Gliobastoma (same brain tumour Gord had) and my Mother was looking for strength to push her through this tough time in life … she found The Tragically Hip and after hearing Gord’s story, she found strength ❤

I’m 25 years old and I think about her everyday and it ain’t easy but The Tragically Hip is with me every day. Thank you for being there for me and being there for us.

I was working at the Empress Hotel as a porter. Elevator opened up and Gord walked straight into my brass cart.
I apologized profusely. Mr. Downie smiled, shook my hand and hugged me.
True Canadian icon. Rip Gord Downie

I'm a 70 year old HUGE Hip fan from New Orleans (lucky that a skydiver friend lent me his "Up To Here" cd to hear "New Orleans Is Sinking"...I STILL have it!!!).
Best band EVER, I can't wait for the movie!!!

Living on a border town of Canada, I had the good fortune to see them live in Buffalo in the mid 90's. The Reostatics opened for them. It was one of the most memorable concerts I have attended.

Last week I watched The Tragically Hip final concert again in its entirety. Eight years on this month I still felt the same intense emotions of joy and sadness I experienced watching the show live. This band touches the core of your soul and we are fortunate to be able to keep those emotions alive though their music.

I could never explain in words what this band means to myself and so many of us, especially in Canada. Their music is about our home, it's part of who we are and I really hope everyone gets to see their greatness. ❤🇨🇦

Jesus that brought a tear to my eye. I saw them from touring before their first EP to the last tour and they were always there for me, making me smile, and think and dance. What a band.

Gord’s passing is one of those landmark moments in Canadian history where you’ll never forget where you were. Just like when Gretzky got traded. It gets burned into your soul. I still listen to the Hip at some point each day. The emotions run deep and are conflicted with so many great memories and the pain of knowing he was gone too soon. A 🇨🇦 treasure is what The Hip are to millions.

Its my birthday today and l have been watching old videos and smiling but mostly crying.
I saw them 23 times and took my kids to three of their shows.
I think about him everyday and wish he never suffered like he did.
They were the joy in my life.
I saw them in Toronto for the final show and have never felt such a range of emotion.
So glad to be there and so sad it would be the last time.
They got me through some of the worst times of my life and some of the best.
In Gord we

I grew up in Ohio's sharpest corner, a small town called Conneaut. Conneaut lies on the Lake and the border of Pennsylvania. My favorite localish rock station changed to Adult contemporary in the late 80s.
Thats the best thing that ever happened to me mysically. I started surfing channels on the radio. I found London Ontario's FM96.
It was a Tuesday, a Twofer Tuesday, in 1989 when I heard Blow at High Dough and Opiated. I was mesmerized and hooked.
I have been a huge American fanever since. I exposed everyone I knew to their music. I've seen them in concert as many times as my ither favorite band, Iron Maiden. Gord's words made pictures and movies swim in my head. The Hip got me through the worst times in my life. And the best.
I speak for thousands of Border kids everywhere who grew up American, but felt Canadian because of the music of Gord, Gord, Rob, Johnny and Paul.
I cant wait to see this. Prime had better get a US release date soon.
