This is an amazing performance in Edmonton on July 30 2016.
Watch it to the end and try not to shed a tear. Pure greatness.

The night Canada stopped in its tracks to be completely present during this is a memory I'll never ever forget.

Love how he acknowledges all the fans for the last few minutes, slowly circling around and seemingly looking each and every person in the eye. Beautiful.

I get it now. he takes the time to look at individuals in their eyes. such a simple gesture, yet monumental effect

man, I'm not sure how much the general population knows this, but this man seriously did the impossible. Glioblastoma is a fucking nightmare of an illness, and as a nurse, I can see how detrimental it can be to someone. I believe it was through his sheer love of music and *us* that he made it through this tour, and I will be forever grateful that he did. The Hip have saved my soul on more than one occasion.

While I am American, a majority of us will never understand how beautiful the Tragically Hip is, their lyrics, their 30 year friendship. It dumbfounds me every time, but then I just listen to them and the words I want to say come out in their song writing.

This is one great performance. I wish this band was more popular here in the States. I remember when "Ahead By a Century" came out in 1994, though. I was 17 at the time and our local radio station started playing it. Then I heard nothing else from the group and I thought they'd broken up or something. Then when I went to Vancouver in 2016, I read an article about Downie and Tragically Hip. I was surprised to hear that they had remained intensely popular in Canada and I was saddened to hear abut Downie's illness.

That the band never enjoyed mainstream success in the US is our loss.

This band means many things to many people. As a non Canuck, your band, and your country, is maginificant. Had the absolute privelage of seeing the hip in Manchester (UK) in 2009. Probably about 300 people there. Canadians, stop...take a deep breath. So few, I saw them about 6 rows in. There were alot of canucks that night in the UK. I want to add something else to the debate, that the themes, the pain, the love are universal themes. The hip touched many, many people outside of Canada.

I've only been to ONE Hip show, in Chicago. My best friend is a huge fan, and he bought me a ticket and when they played, I got it. I was in awe of how they were there for the fans and how the fans were there for eachother. Thank you, Gord.

what can you say? An otherworldly experience from front row center that night. Ive never felt a connection and such electricity between other fans and the band and their fans. pay the money to get to a show, who cares about the price or where you sit. get in the building and the question of it being "worth it" wont even come into your mind.

It almost felt like there was a massive feeling of appreciation and love in the audience itself after Gord stepped off the stage, really neat stuff.
