I will always come back to this performance. The right song, the right performance, the right place, the right guest singer, even the right introduction by Gordon Lightfoot.

Of all the song's to choose from, they picked this one . And how perfect it was to be this song. "When the colour of the night, And all the smoke for one life, Gives way to shaky movements, Improvisational skills".

three years later and I just want to say how much I miss Gord and the Hip

Leslie Feist might be the only one with the emotional depth, personal history and sensitivity to interpret that song.

If you've watched the new documentary, you will know how Gord's death seem to rip the joy from his bandmates lives. Rob Baker seems to have been particularly hurt. To see him smiling at the beginning of this video was amazing to see. Healing his soul bit by bit. They all deserve that

This made me unreasonably emotional, god damn I miss the hip. Feist's vocals are ethereal as always. I would love to see a whole album or concert of the Hip with guest singers, and all the profits going to the charities Gord held dear to his heart, in his honour.

I would pay a lot to see a full concert with them playing together

I don’t think an audience could handle something this heartbreaking and magical.

Anyone else cry during this performance?

No need to find somewhere to go...you are needed right here, right now. Gord would be proud.

Feel like I’m standing before a great Canadian painting by watching this.

The nation needed this. All I’m gonna say.

Blew my mind away. My daughter was dying in Vancouver in 2016, in hospice. Johnnie Fey, thank you for connecting, with my niece, Erin. You were so willing to visit, but wasn’t, to be.

I keep listening to this over and over. The band played this with such a light touch and sympathy. Beautiful to watch as well as hear.

That was great. The Hip and Fiest did Gord proud.

I never thought anyone could match Gords poetic singing but Leslie was superb!!! For days after watching this I am hearing her in my head signing Hip songs and it sounds good!! Thank you CBC, thank you the HIP and thank you Alex and Geddy…RIP Neil!!🥁🙏

I was gutted when this song was absent from the final Hip performance. To hear Feist, another Canadian treasure, perform this with the guys is just brilliant.

Beautiful. Wherever Gord is, he watched on, smiling.

First thought: This is quintessentially Hip. Music and Lyric Gord hisself would approve methinks.

This needs to become a real thing...Don't stop the music...Gord would not want the work to never be heard live again....She has the stature, and it sounded superb.
