I do like this kind of puzzles. But I absolutely hate the way the puzzles are presented. Research shows, one try, IQ, … Who cares? The puzzle just needs to be interesting. It does not matter of you solve it in 1min or in 10min.

You cheated. The number one rule of those puzzles is not to bend the parts. You clearly had to force it through which is bending, even slightly to get it out. If that is the only way, then it is impossible as designed.
