If you are a professional or a highly functional person with ADHD you no doubt have tried to multitask before, we all have. In this video we discuss why multitasking is something to stop doing if you are a professional, entrepreneur, student, or creative with ADHD. My math for those curious: 120 minutes of distracted work X 1.4 = 168 minutes
Remember that is if everything else is perfect, which it likely isn't for most of us. Wasted time will be higher given your level of ADHD.

This is a good reminder. We tend to think about all possibilities at once, all tasks at the same time, and then get overwhelmed or spread our limited energy out where we can panic or crash. One thing at a time!

This may sound silly, but I feel like I'm unintentionally multitasking. I'll be working on something then someone will come up and need help or ask a question and I completely forget what I was working on. Then halfway through another project, I feel like a dumbass when the realization hits that my first project is still unfinished.

I've always thought multitasking was impossible. I literally get nothing done and just spend the whole time remembering what I'm supposed to be doing.

This video has really made me think about taking medication for my adhd again. I see the points you are making and think, "How the hell do I actually get my brain to let me focus on one thing and one thing only?" The only answer I find is, "Well, the only times in my life I've actually been able to do that were when I took medication for my ADHD."

I'm so jealous of my peers being able to study and work at the same time. I feel like if I'll work and study at the same time, I will fail one or other or even both. I wanted to have money as a student, I feel so pressured being in my 20s now.

Its not about the efficiency its just how our minds like to do things. Might take forever and be allover the place but we have a process and it works for us.

I don't know whether I have adhd or not. I always tend to multitask and I do that usually to overcome boredom. When a long task is terribly boring I can't help but fall asleep most of the time. Coffee doesn't even work on me. I still don't know how to overcome this

I was seriously starting to wonder if there is a link between ADHD and diabetes? Even binge eating is a sign from what I know.

No one should multitask its a myth! It just doing a bunch of things poorly all at the same time. But it so damn easy for me to jump around from thing to thing...

I am unable to multitask even while driving
For eg while turning a car my whole attention goes to turning and I am so involved in doing it perfectly, I forget I have to accelerate
As I complete the turn then I am able to focus on accelerating
I am still a new learner, but is this a sign of adhd?
