After listening to royal reporter on the Times YouTube channel, Kate wasn't thrown under the bus, she didn't want to throw her team under the bus for a mistake she made. Also, it looks like another photo she took a few years ago of the queen with her great grand kids was edited and possible by her. She took accountability and apologised. Also, she and William are the boss, their not gonna get thrown under the bus by their employees who they can fire at any point

The princess of Wales always puts out Mother's day family photo. The Princess does things on her own watch, no Royal PR was needed, as she stated, she and William were trying to navigate the way they were going to deal with diagnosis and how to tell their kids. It appears that though KP said Easter, the biopsy results probably came back after that KP announcement. Once that diagnosis was known to the Wales's, no doubt KP PR left it up to William and Catherine to put out a statement in their own time and their own terms

You may have missed the information when all of this started. AFTER Catherine's surgery, palace sources stated that she did not have a hysterectomy or CANCER. That is why most people who were keeping up did not consider her health to be cancer related.

Who told these people Catherine was forced to do anything? It was reported it was the princess’s decision to offer a apology as she did the edits! Everyone knows she’s the photographer in the family and often does some minor edits to her pictures as everyone does.
