How to stop being Lazy: The Biblical Cure for Laziness! Must See!

The secret to self discipline has everything to do with our mind! Typically we make choices based on fear of pain or the desire for pleasure. When we procrastinate we think that we are avoiding pain and getting instant relief, but as we all know, usually we end up creating double the pain for ourselves in the future. Read Hebrews 12:11! We need to memorize and meditate on this verse and start putting it in effect with very small things. Pick one small thing you would normally procrastinate on, like doing dishes, and do them, then note how good it feels! The more you do this, your brain will become just as addicted to the peace you feel accomplishing things as it was addicted to the false peace you felt when procrastinating! Good luck!

I repented of lazyness and procrastination not long ago. I did not know it was that bad until I read it in the bible.. I see how it could ruin the plans that God has for me in my life. I want to go to university but in my past I was always procrastinating. God gave me signs and encouragement, but I took pride in the gift of creativity he have put inside of me, and I foolishly thaught that God will help me get into university just because Im a christian. I am so ashamed. As a lazy person I expected a lot, but I will get little for it
I believe God forgives me, and now I really work hard to please and glorify him with my work, but I wish I had done this sooner.
I will grow closer to you God in this season. Open up my eyes and make me a fruitful hard worker for your glory!

I needed the part of trying with something small. Sometimes you have so much to do that, instead of at least tackling one thing, you feel like you have to do everything, so you postpone it to a time where you think youre gonna be more motivated and have more energy. Dont do this. Youll never get it done. Do just one thing, you can even just start one thing with the intention of not finishing the task the same day, and, instead, finish it later, or the next day. You might still feel lazy, but you will see you are making progress.
