Really informative! I was diagnosed as T2, but ended up 18 months later with DKA in Romania on a business trip. I moved shortly after and my new endo immediately ordered the c-peptide and it was 0.8. My original symptoms. - weight loss, blood glucose over 600, extreme thirst and fatigue. I started on Lantus and Metformin which I think kept me going until DKA in a foreign country. Great explanation!

You are great and helping so many people! This channel provides a very much needed source of information that is not easily found. I literally had never heard of a C-peptide test, nor did I know I could request one, until your video approx 3 years ago. I sent a friend to you who registered for your program and I have your book. Both are excellent.

Just diagnosed T1.5 after being T2 for 5 years. I’ve always been “odd” and weird things always happen to me so this diagnosis isn’t a surprise 😅❤

9 years ago I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, with an A1C = 13. I was immediately put on 90u / insulin per day and began educating myself about diabetes in general. Just 3 years ago, I was diagnosed with LADA and am wondering if the original d/g was incorrect, or did my beta-cells simply become dysfunctional as a result of having to use So Much Insulin on a daily basis. My c-peptide test revealed little to no beta-cell activity I have been trying to (naturally) increase my insulin sensitivity with (ACV / cinnamon) along with intermittent fasting + exercise. I managed to lose around 95- Lbs shortly after my initial (incorrect? type 2 d/g) and have kept the weight off for 9- years now. A1C is 7.1 now, but I know this is still too high so I'm experimenting by incorporating longer fasting regiments (at least 3-days) which I've done numerous times now. Each time I feel great @ day 3, and whenever I do eat, it's typically once / day and keto / plant-based, with occasional fish (Mackrell / Salmon). I wonder if there's is anything else I can do other than extending my fasting regiment to improve my health, which led me - here. Thank you for posting this information.

Hi! Thank you so much for your content! I was diagnosed 2 years ago with T1.5 (after previously being diagnosed with T2). I've been managing it using Metformin and striving to maintain a low fat plant based diet, with A1C's between 5.7-7. Last visit, my doc offered the option of Trulicity. Do you have any opinions on that drug? Thank you!

I'm diagnosed with Typ 2 Diabetes about 4 months ago. My hba1c (so called in German) is with 6.3 great. But I eat little to nothing and low carb, but still my bloodsugar went up to 200 with ohne 30g of carbs. My son has Typ 1 Diabetes and my daughter and I were diagnosed with Hashimoto in may 2020. Is it possible to have Typ 1.5 Diabetes with no antiimmunmarkers? Or may be thevtast was to early (only 2 weeks after manifesting Diabetes)

insulin resistance is related to the buildup of body fat in the pancrease/liver rather than blood sugar levels? does that mean you can drink craploads of sugary drinks daily and as long as you watch how many calories you are consuming you won't actually develop type 2 diabetes? how does the keto diet play into this? if you have a high fat diet, does that put you at risk for fat buildup in the pancrease/liver or does that only apply if you have a high bmi(which can be reduced by consuming more fat than sugar/carbs, granted you are getting proper

So what if I don’t know what I have but I have a high fasting glucose and lower blood sugars after eating like reactive hypoglycemia it’s not super high or low but I have all of the symptoms

I suspect that I have type 1.5 but my doctor won't investigate and just labels it as pre-diabetes because my A1C 'looks normal' because of a low carb diet.

No matter how low fat I go, my post meal and fasting glucose is still high when I eat fruit. My highest reading was 269 mg/dL two hours after eating a fruit meal.

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 10 years ago(with 400 ml/dl glycemic), and after 10 years of drastic regime but without any drugs (for 9, 5 years i was with normal glycemic index 120-135 ml/dl), now my index glycemic not go down under 170 ml/dl even i fasting or do a lot of sport...so i go for my doctor and after he see my analyze (C peptide with valor 1, 26 ng/ml), she say i have diabetes type LADA and i not insulin resistance at all (only my beta cells form pancreas not produce more than 24% from total) ... so she prescribe me the 10 mg of Jardiance at day, and after 3 days my glycemic index is 103 ml/dl.(i hope i not go hypoglycemic).
What is better ? ... do 1 shot insulin at night for 24 hour or go on with that pill Jardiance.(Jardiance have some side effect like develop some issues on kidney, some rare infection at genital zone, etc.).
What about modulator therapy (DIAPEP 277, DIAMYD(GAD65), monoclonal antibodies anti CD3 ... can help more and efficacy without take pills or insulin shot? I type thin body and 51 year old now, without family history have diabetes).
Thanks in advance!
