To all the precious kids in the comment section and brave parents, you can do this. My son was diagnosed at 14 months old and was so hard to regulate carbs, insulin, exercise and growth spurts. Any illness rocked the numbers. Hospitalized at 2, 3 and 4 with stomach virus. His sister was diagnosed at 16 years old and was done growing by then. Both are grown ups now and doing very well.

It's painful to see children go through this because my mom died from diabetes when she was 39. It was so out of control that my grandparents raised me. No child should have to go through this. :(
