This is mostly so that the virus can sit there quietly for some time and infect more files -> more machines.

And what about Virus.DOS.Excess mixes with Cascade? It seems that Cascade virus doesn't affect table lines and Excess has a table filled with text, would the table keeps the text inside it from dropping down?

I would've shitted bricks if I happened to run that on my PC and the HDD went scary-noisy

I have a question that might be pretty dumb; but alas I'm a stupid idiot.

For a virus to affect anything, does it need to be run by the user at least once? Or is that just how Dan does it in these videos to be a more controlled setting? Can the presence of a file on a computer alone without the user directly executing it cause it to do it's payload?

What would happen if this virus mixed with Cascade DOS Virus? Would the H and A drop down to the bottom?

Hey, since I'm around virus and worm enthusiasts, I'll ask you and your audience a question, Dannoct1. I don't feel like joining a forum, so I'll leave this here. Two of my computers have gotten some kind of keyboard disabling virus. My two laptops have random keys disabled now. One has G and H disabled, the other is I, P, W, E, etc.

How I know it's not mechanical? The problem showed up at the same time in both computers, and loads of keys were disabled at the same time.

I have run virus scans, even in safemode, and nothing. Searching online lead me to simmilar viruses, but those disable the keyboard completely.

Anyone have some kind of clue to what this might be? Any tips to find the virus?
