-----------------------------------------------------------
. Cleton is a sub-variant of the original Abraxas virus that much like it is a direct-action infector (it infects only upon execution) and does not reside in memory. It's payload is instantaneous and has two variants: 1508 and 1518 each behaving slightly different.

Payload: When Cleton is executed it selects the first EXE and COM files, infects them and creates a copy of said files into the parent directory. Depending on the variant it will infect COMMAND.COM (1518) or ROMMAND.COM (1508). If neither exists then Cleton will create it. It then displays a fullscreen message in ASCII art that reads:

"I AM THE EDWIN CLETON VIRUS...
AND I LOVE A GOOD "HARD" DRIVE
...Ahhhh! Get a ROD just thinking about it!"

Afterwards it returns to the DOS prompt.

Edwin Cleton is a character in Robert Slade's book "Guide to Computer Viruses". Basically the author of this virus is making fun of a character which was created to add context to a nonfiction work.

Same font as Sara's Groove text during payload.
