Frontline ready: UK troops train Ukrainian forces on heavy weaponry

Ukrainian fighters have been on one of the UK's largest military training areas to master new weaponry donated by Western allies.

The British Army's Royal School of Artillery has been teaching them to use the L119 Light Gun, and the Multi Launch Rocket System - described by Ukrainian officials as a "game-changer" in the conflict.

It comes as a massive training programme gets underway, with 10,000 Ukrainian personnel to be trained every 120 days.

Charlotte Banks saw some of those already being trained on Salisbury Plain before they return to Ukraine's frontline.

I live right on the edge of Salisbury Plain and can confirm they've been doing artillery drills alot!

The activity on the ranges has built up over the last 2-3 years after barely being used other than training new recruits.

Ive seen some incredible sights up there in my 50 yrs but the activities now are small scale to what they were before the cold war ended and we got into the Middle East.
