I briefly met some Ukrainian gents training in the U.K. on a day off venturing about down south. It was actually quite sobering looking at their faces and wondering if they’ll be alive in a couple of months time. Best of luck to the lot of them!

New Zealand is a small country but we are doing our bit training Ukrainians in artillery.... I wish we could do more.

That must be tough for a lot of the UK soldiers not being able to go over there with them and fight.

As a disloyal former subject from across the pond, I'm proud of the UK's take charge attitude towards the defense of Ukraine and Western values in general.
Standing strong with other Western nations and leading from nearly the front is a morale booster for all who support Ukraine.

This is a very positive approach and the US is also doing something similar

This is probably the best strategy that Ukraine is doing. Training recruits to allied countries is a massive morale boost.

This should help far more than it may at first appear. It is a very cost and resource effective way of giving basic skills to many who have come straight from a civilian background. It should help them stay alive and provide an opportunity to pass on lessons learned to fellow Ukrainians so they can be as effective as possible.
