So I was about typing something really sophisticated as what I learnt from this video but I lost it when you got to the point of 15mins prep and 7mins delivery out of excitement, as a fellow BP debater myself (past) I think the most underrated point in this video is actually the point on practice. People don’t realize how much daily consistent repetitive practice of the same thing can set you miles ahead in terms of results. Secondly, style is so important because it’s the major factor that differentiates you from all other public speakers so cheers to getting better at what we do everyday and this was an amazing piece with impeccable delivery…thank you Kennedy for sharing

This resonates deeply with me. I joined UCDC in my school but wasn't very frequent because I felt intimidated. My aim was just to learn and not to participate, but out of nowhere, I was given a topic to debate, and I was totally lost and performed woefully.

I built personal relationships with the coaches and promised to always attend sessions, but then school workload got in the way.

Just this morning, I thought of reaching out to one of my coaches.

I think I will use the practical self-tips you've shared and maybe visit UCDC and compete.

Gosh! I’ve taken so many notes, my favorite part was about choosing our speaking style literally simply by observing those we admire, and like a sponge just organically learning from them. Let me come back in a year and see how my public speaking muscle has grown 😌
