And that is why Auto hold function is very useful and the best. In automatics, even if you have left the brake (while the car is in D Drive mode), the car will not roll forward or backward even on the steepest of inclines. On hills it is a boon. You then just have to press the accelerator normally, and even in stop start traffic, you wouldnt like to keep the brake pressed.

I can move car up without HSA and without going back even a centimetre in manual transmission car.

it's quite easy..
1. just press both clutch and brake.
2. then slowly release clutch and hold the clutch at the point where engine trying to move. (At this point engine is actively trying to move and if u release brake, the idle RPM with half clutch would be sufficient enough to hold the car in position)
3. then you can release brake and press acceleration while releasing clutch too.

Handbrake use krna ata hai jisko usko HSA nai chahiye.... Jahan pe bhi gaadi inclined mei rokni pad jaye handbrake laga lo Fir 1st gear mei daal ke normally uthao gaadi ko aur sath mei handbrake bhi niche kr do.... Gaadi bina peeche jaye uth jayegi.... Bas ek chiz dhyan rakhni hai ki handbrake gaadi uthane ke 1 sec baad niche krna hai.... I frequently visit hilly areas where I have been stuck in bumper to bumper jams countless times and many times on an incline of even 25-30 My father who taught me driving used to commute regularly on such routes in his jeep which did not even have a handbrake....🤣

HSA is especially useful on new generation NA/turbo petrol engines which are just 999cc or similar. idle power and torque is not sufficient on a steep hill/ramp when the car is fully loaded with passengers and luggage

Bro what you talking about? You are saying wrong, In manual car if you press the clutch fully it would disengage engine and cluch plate and car will roll back only if you half press the clutch till biting point the car does not roll back.👍
