This a great scene from a really good Superman movie that gets way too much criticism. It has it's problems, but its true to the character of Superman. Plus, they used John Williams incredible theme.

0:23 I love the way he fly's so smoothly, smiles and looks to the sun. That is Superman. To me this is one my favourite Superman movies.

The symbol on his chest stands for hope, and Brandon routh did a fine job making supes a source of hope and inspiration for people.

Despite some questionable CGI, I think its a near perfect combination of Reeve's and Cavill's flights. Reeve had the grace when he flew, but still looked too slow. Cavill had the speed when he flew, but it always came off as too violent. Here, I see both that grace and speed combined into one, cancelling out the negatives.
