For any kid who's ever run through a field in Minnesota, stinging nettles can leave a lasting memory, at least on that kid's bare ankles. Here's how to stake your revenge by cooking and eating them. Be sure to wear gloves but otherwise, enjoy. They also mix in great with eggs.

A Czechoslovakian woman taught me this fantastic simple way to eat stinging nettle recipe. Chop the leaves off the plant and soak them in some boiled water.(this takes the sting out).if you let them soak for a while they will swell and become a bit spongy
add some chopped onion. Add some beaten eggs (with salt and pepper) then fry them as fritters.

I don't thin I've seen a more to the point and clear presentation about anything on YouTube as you have done here. Loved the short and clear presentation. Thank you

In Chechnya, we use stinging nettles as a dumpling filling. We collect young leaves and wash them, chop them up with some green onions (optional), we season them with a little bit of oil, salt and pepper and put them into dumplings and cook them. It’s really delicious 😋

I'm on here because this is the 3rd time these things stung me. I just knew there had to be something useful for them. 13 hours later I can still feel the sting somewhat. Right after I brushed up against these I did some research and decided to gather up a bagful. I am so ready to start cooking these! If they taste anything like spinach, there is going to be a big space in the woods behind my house. I love spinach! Thank you for this enjoyable video.

This is one of the best videos for me of my life.I am from Kashmir and stinging nettle is abundantly seen in abandoned lands and road sides.
But in our part of world it has never ever been used for edible purpose.
It was only used to punish us by its stings in our childhood...
This is really a news to me
Thank you soooo much for making this video...👍

We eat nettles daily. They are a great nutritious part of our diet.
I pick 2 leaves and the tip. When the stand gets too high, I scythe it and the nettles come back quickly. That is how I keep my nettles young and tender.
Old leaves on tall nettles have crystals in them and should not be eaten. Rob picks them when they ate less than 2' tall, that's one way to avoid the crystals, I do a double: max height 2' tall and 2 leaves and a tip. This way nettles are a food crop harvested from early spring to late autumn.

Nettles soup is pretty good as well and I myself came with the idea of making pasta filling out of nettles, ricotta and some other things, turned out amazing!

I LOVE stinging nettles. I blanch mine before cooking, though. Just as an extra precaution. Some olive oil and garlic salt...HOLLA! and it's FREE! Mix with some dandelion salad... Mmmmm.... 😊

Thank you for making a straight-forward video on this, it's all there and complete. Other videos ramble for over 10 minutes and still don't get to the point. The part about the end where the guy has a 'look' on his face, that would be my expression...hard to imagine a nasty weed becomes edible. Also, of concern is how something with a nasty sharp irritting bite becomes safe....

Wild foods that are "not bad" are usually very good in my book, an acquired taste for sure but worth acquiring the taste for it. There is a lot more nutrition in wild foods, they are non GMO, they are %100 organic and they are FREE. Thanks for the video, peace

I like it most on a soup with rice and spices (salt, black pepper and a bit of red pepper). It’s nice and warming meal like that and it helps me to fight with cold and high fever.

The fact I just learned the benefits of nettles and that its edible? I ask myself how know one ever shared this information throughout my life!
