Per your recommendation, I purchased the Eleacc model, it came yesterday. I hooked it up to my 2022 Silverado LTD today and it was super easy. No fuss. Worked on the first try. I hope it lasts.

Can you do an update video. Is there any one of these that has lasted for more than a few months? All the ones I keep buying keep failing.

Definitely waffles on way too much to be bothered watching this video completely.

Thanks for the recommendations. I’m looking for one too that needs to be reliable 100% of the time. I do deliveries for a living and want one because I’m constantly plugging and unplugging my phone all day to mark packages delivered and then use Apple maps for the next location. So if theirs a delay in connection, it would be a deal breaker. Couple month later, are you still happy with them and have you found a better one?

All I want is something to use with maps via iPhone 14 in my 2014 Ram 2500. I can already stream music via Bluetooth, which is the only other thing I would need it for. I don’t need videos, texts, or any other apps. What’s the most affordable, yet reliable way to get maps from my iPhone to the radio screen.

I bought the Eleacc per your recommendation but got it through AliExpress much cheaper than the other brands. £27! When first setting it up it failed to connect to Bluetooth a couple of times and then it worked. Slight delay with audio but for music and podcasts that’s fine. Watching a YouTube video while sitting in the car using the speakers isn’t great due to the delay but technically you’re not supposed to do it. lol I stopped at a shop to get a couple of things and when I switched the car back on it had connected before I even blinked. I’m using a Kenwood aftermarket unit which I think helps. Sometimes the factory units in cars software can be buggy and slow. Thanks for the recommendation for this unit. Really happy with it so far.

It’s hard to believe no one makes a premium device that just works. I mean a fast processor, faster than it needs to be, and better hardware. I don’t care if it’s 50 bucks or 350 bucks as long as it works I’m willing to pay the premium.

I have Elite Car Box 3.0 and I love it, you should do a review on that, had bought the Magix box 2.0 before that, had to return it cause it has some lag.

Appreciated an overview on the state of the devices. Seems others wanted a simple review but the AI videos out there can do that quicker. Appreciate the comparison on bandwidths.

I got the one that you recommended, works great but it keeps pausing the music. I have to go to music and press play again, it does it so often that I ended up stop using it. It also stops the music when the navigation voice comes on, in other instances, it will lower the volume of the music but I stopped using it because it’s so unreliable.

Man, I came here for a review and I got a comedy show on top of some great information. The car going off the cliff got me 🤣 Great editing skills 👌

I have one of those adapters. I won't say the brand, but it works maybe 75% of the time. Sometimes it just wont connect. The wifi connects fine, but the bluetooth just won't connect. I have to physically unplug the adapter and plug it in again for it to work, and sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries. Sometimes when I hit a pretty big bump, carplay disconnects. I think it has to do with the physical USB connection not being secure enough. And the sound coming out from bluetooth is terrible. I'm on the same boat as you were before, content. I use carplay a lot just to get update on traffic, so it's very important to me. In my other car, an older Japanese car, I replaced the head unit with an aftermarket Pioneer one, and carplay works perfectly. Never once did it lose connection, even when using carplay wirelessly. The sound is great even on bluetooth. In conclusion, if you have the ability to replace the whole head unit, do it. Cars like porsche, BMW, or Mercedes have integrated head unit, which makes it impossible to replace.

You might want to look into an after-market Android radio, it will do wireless Carplay plus it is an Android tablet so you have access to tons of apps that are not available for Carplay or Android Auto. They also make canbus adapters for them so that you can retain your steering wheel controls.

What are the names of the last 3 adapters. I can’t find them on Amazon.

I have a TNVTEC from a few years ago. It worked in my 2017 Niro and now works better and faster in my Ioniq 5. Unfortunately it’s discontinued.

I did a research a year back, couldn't find any solid adaptors. I'm sticking with the Wired.

Will these work if your car doesn’t have wired CarPlay?

@TheAppleHelpline, how is it working now? Every device I've looked at have tons of people in the reviews saying that it works for a few months then dies. Every single one of them. Have you found one that you can use in the long term that seems decent and doesn't have all the issues?
