In WW2 general Patton always brought along with him Caesar's Gallic Wars. And whenever he met an obstacle he imagined "what would Caesar have done here?" Like when he crossed the Rhine at a very wide point - the Germans never even noticed.

His quick wit, adaptability and capacity for improvisation and inventiveness absolutely rank him among the very best of the great generals of history, period!

He might have won every war but not every battle

When he was killed by his fellow Romans that was when the Roman Empire fell

You call him Julius as if he's your buddy? It's Caesar for you, or Dominus

A 6 general but extremely ruthless, he massacred and completely wiped out entire tribes in Gaul and germania.

Marc Anthony was loyal, but not the best when it came to military or political power. At least not in the levels of Pompeii or Labienus.

Also Rome wasn’t exactly weak. He hasn’t upended the bedrock of Rome yet by making himself dictator and launching ruinous civil war

martial tactics and strategy wise, he was a dull guy, literally Mark Antony carried him. But Caesar is a master in the arts of raising morale and making his legionairies willing to die for him. His words are capable of reaching all the way to the soldiers' hearts, not by harsh words but pure empathy.

Nope he didn't fight wars his entire lifetime and he didn't win every battle. He lost two on record to Vercongetorix and Pompei

Anthony was mostly an orator ie public speaker and he was not a soldier nor did he have any other skills.

This is one of the worst but most promoted “history” channels on YouTube. Wonder why…
