So true some even think on the first ride they will be galloping because 'it's sooo easy and we just sit there' 😵‍💫

i got an adult beginner as a student right now, after about 8 riding lessons she went on vacation, horse riding on the beach, and came back frustrated because her riding lessons did not teach her enough to be able to control the horse in that scenario... and I would say she is an otherwise intelligent woman. But I was stumped that she thought galopping on the beach would be easy after 8 lessons...where we only did canter twice on a tight circle while she held onto the saddle.

This is sooo relatable!
I rode a horse when I was six, and it wasn't easy!

I'm not an equestrian and I've never thought like that.... I always believe that it is one of the most difficult sports, but I dream of having my own horse one day and riding.

True, my sis said horse riding we just sit there and the horse does all the work. I understand that the horse has a big part in this sport but it's not easy.

People honestly think that they can gallop on a horse after like 5 lessons! Meanwhile I've been riding for 6-7 years now and I still can't do a stirrupless rising trot.

Took me a year until I was allowed to trot and then another for me to canter and I’m fine with it because it actually taught me a lot!

I just did walk on my first summer, except for the last few lessons when I started trotting, but I only cantered on the end of my 2nd summer, and my 3rd was a mix. My trainer was chill about things 😂

I refused to canter for three years. Had to change ponies because I grew too much, was able to sit correct and control.. and yet my mom had to threatening me with stopping to pay for the lessons because it's too much money just for me refusing any progress. 😆

Very creative. You like doing videos. When do we get a longer one? That horse doesn’t even feel your weight.. he is strong. You take great care of him.
