I try to avoid beginners tip since i dont want to be burden while playing this game, but this kind of tips is a must i think since it make it a lot easier to understand how this game works. I try to build super speed dual wielding leech type of duelist. I dont know if it achieveble or not but from what i see in skill tree i feel like i can do it. Hopefully i can

Lets say you have a 6 socket item all linked. If you put two active skills and 4 support gems, will both of the skill be supported by all the support gems? Or is it implied that for a link, there is only one active skill?

0:34 Using the boots as an example, will the top left blue gem be linked to the green one? Or do they have to be directly linked and not just part of the same chain?

so wait... let's say I have a 4 link socket, if I use 1 active skill and the rest are support would all of them affect that 1 active skill? I thought it needs to be directly next to the active skill for it to work (like directly before/after the active skill's socket)

I was having withering steps socakted in a head piece and i was nit getting the phasing effect where yiu phase through enemies but when i put it on my boot i got the effect is this some how related to links? Please help

Really great tutorial and im enjoying your gladiator walkthrough. One question do the stats of a weapon or armor only apply to the gems socket-ed in that item? I have a crystal scepter with +40% elemental, +47% spell damage, +23% cast speed, adds 5 to 126 lightning damage, and add 32 to 66 fire to spells, but it doesnt feel different when im vs gold and other heavy monsters. Is only my socket-ed fire storm getting these stats or are all my spells effected?

What is this skill used on 1:54 I mean the frost spikes from the ground, I know the movement skill is Frost blink but from where are the spikes coming? Some support game for frost blink? I am new to the game and when I watch video I see ppl are using skills which I do not recognise.

Coming to this game because everyone says its better than diablo. I see that is true, if you play on pc and can install mods and plugins to help with info. On console this games learning curve is ridiculous..I am level 5 and already beyond confused.

This comment will probably go unnoticed or avoided due to its size, BUT..

YT decided to recommend me the vid, i assume due to me watching an Asmondgold meme video where he dies in the Boss Chamber over and over again - -
Still, i clicked on it and as i read the title, i paused the video thinking - "Hol up.. i kinda know this stuff!-....and kinda dont..." I started Path of Exile a couple weeks ago, Again. I remember my first Templar character from 2018ish times, Got up to Act 8 sewers around the Sarn area... Then stopped progressing overall cuz.. well i did not know shit about the game. I remember having 1-2 buff equipped, like Vitality and Purity of Fire or something, having a Legendary? Orange rarity Two-Handed maul type.. weapon and i only used Consecrated Path mainly... Still it was shit!

So.. I grew a little, gained experience in other areas of gaming as well and.. learned to actually read the Gems and think a little about the items and what they do and.. what the game shows me. Got an other Templar now, LvL 73, just entered Oriath with a full Pantheon and 2 Labiryrinth Ascendancies gotten. - I got two-three amazing ways to just.. laugh in the face of the game, now that i kinda learned the game on my own.. I say kinda, cuz i looked up a guide on Templar, followed it for.. like LvL 12, then i left it and made my own art.
The Righteous Fire got my interest so i worked on it, later on I also got Reap and a handful of other useful offensive gems - as well as four/five Buffs, Vitality, Grace or Haste(depending on need), Purity of Fire, Herald of Ash. Im happy with it, RF deals around 15K fire dmg/Sec, Reap Deals 6K Physical dmg/sec. Sadly i need to somehow work on the Resistances now. Not much, but its honest work!
If it does not work out in the end, and i still get stuck, i can spend some time grinding Orb of Regrets, and re-doing the Passive Skill tree, according to an EndGame oriented Tree path to advance.
Dont get scared PPL, the game gives you opportunities to correct your Mistakes.. Mostly... Mostly.. so continue to support your local Original Evil!

Does the Skill gem have to be first in line before the support gems for it to work?

Why are youtubers and streamers gem sockets like a different shape over just circle sockets? They almost look like star sockets...
