As a newbie to POE, I have to say this is WAY better than when I played Diablo 4. The difficulty in this game makes so much more sense. It makes me have to learn and try. I actually give a damn now.

No chance I thought I'd be playing as a Mercenary that fires frost bolts, and spawns walls of fire, which set bolts on fire when shot through, along with having a triple exploding frost nova with increased crits to frozen enemies hit by frost bolts, along with spawning spikes of earth, which turn into scorpions that help me when they impale and kill enemies.... like wtf... the fact thats all the result of my own choices so far, and not just a premade 'class', is SO bad ass.

The game is certainly a lot more involved than other ARPGs currently. I've been playing monk and it's designed in a way that makes you build up resources and blow it out because it's timed. Still trying to figure out certain things, but the heads up about elemental resistances this early is certainly welcomed.

This is my first time playing PoE. I completely forgot that I had premium coins from the early access pack, I then asked world chat for recommendations what to buy in shop, and they said 'stash' like the ones for currency, gems etc. Apparently, items do stacks in regular stash but not so much. It became easy to organize as well. Great community btw.

I play mercenary like a swat team member works well.

One thing I did notice is a team of mercenaries can actually be OP those grenades when you update them to allow 6 to be used can be stacked on a team to dish out 36 grenades

Very first POE game and casually played D4 and I love this game!! Got hard stuck and kept losing early on (some dude in the cemetery dungeon place I think I already (barely) kicked the chick he keeps calling in during the fight) but I took the challenge and really thought about was it my build? Started to really learn the patterns of the boss I was losing to. (Something I learned from Elden Ring lol) Started to farm an earlier spot to try and find things to help me better my build / level up abit lol but when I finally beat the boss it was so rewarding!! I was jumping up and down, my fiancé was like “wtf are you doing😂”

Love the pause feature as a father of 1 and another on the way this feature really feels like it was made for people like me who need to pause real quick for something and come back and not feel punished for having to do my dad duties lol

I do admit it was hitting that wall that was make or break feeling like maybe I’m not good enough for this game but when I finally added a skill that really helped me get past that wall… I felt like this is a game I am here for!! Saying to myself “IM A THE POE GOAT!” But knowing damn well I barely just beat that early boss 🤫🤣🤣🤣🤣

tips for controllers, you can see what buffs and debuffs you have above your xp/skills bar by opening the game menu and pressing the button prompted with "HUD element information" shown under the game paused menu, xbox is press R stick, you can also hold down the same button while out of menu to show your current lvl, xp till next lvl and xp per hour, for new instances, so far you cant do it with portals you make from what i can tell, but you can hold down (for xbox) "A" when at a waypoint in the map and selecting where to go and the prompt pops up to travel, or at the physical door/gateway to the next area in the map, then going right back but holding A to make a new instance

For salvage, I think you miss out one thing. Items with quality-improved also will yield mats for socketing too. So, I would suggest to check for salvage first after identify as equipment that can salvage will appear in highlighted box so it is easy to differentiate them.

Regarding the relics, I got transmutation orb on the tribute reward thing, so they definitely have crafting items on the pool
