I just want to say that this is a lose-lose situation, since I still can’t speak German properly yet and my English is getting worse too 🤣

The struggles of being bilingual are tough enough but nobody talks about being trilingual

When I came to Germany, I introduced myself as speaking very good English and a little German. After living here for 8 years, I can say that I am bad at both.

My English was also affected by my learning German. And I'm a native English speaker.

From the series "I haven't learned anything and forgot what I already knew". Yeah, it happens all the time.

Me being half understandable in several languages and not fluent in any of them is really my villain origin story 😂

I find it so interesting that two people who weren’t even born in a country that has English as its native language can communicate so clearly using English whereas their native languages are still being learned by their partners

So now you’re getting a German accent in your English. That means you’re learning well!

Ha! Same happened to my Spanish after I started learning Portuguese. Apparently there is only room for 1 Romance language in my brain. 😅

haha i love your vids! I noticed it in your recent vids how you’re now using “since” like they use “seit” in German, and I felt excited for you because I think it means you’re becoming more comfortable with the new language and starting to think in German. I love how relatable you are! :) It’s not easy to be multi-lingual but it’s fun!

Trilingual united! I can relate. My English is being affected by my French and patois!

Same! English speaker living in Austria. Some words just became German in our vocab and we never say them in English anymore 😂 and some German words I don’t even know if there is an English word anymore, or if there is I forgot it.

Uyen, you are doing great, probs for learning so hard. In my opinion the human brain is not meant to do multitasking, so mixing all up ist just human. I think you are a real role model because most of the people have the same struggles with learning something new, but you are honest about it. ❤🐢

I can totally relate since I am german speak english with my bf and have to speak norwegian at work so it all sort of blends together. Must be even more hard for a person coming from a different language family.
