Visiting the Secret Albino Village in Tanzania (Too White to Live)

African Albinos in Tanzania are thought to bring bad luck because they are too white in a black community. They are discriminated against because of being an albino and having a white skin color. Life as an albino in Tanzania is hard, they are borned different from black Africans and hunted.

Albinism genetics are rampant in Tanzania, because the gene pool is very narrow. And African albinos are in trouble because they are thought to be cursed and should be hunted.
I'm with African albino girls and boys. They’re sometimes treated as animals and these kids are here to be protected from discrimination.

Big respect to the people there who are trying to help maintain the children Best they can. Especially in a country where they are criminalized and hunted. This is truly sad human behaviour

I'm a Tanzanian born and raised, and I'm really ashamed of what is happening in our country regarding the killing of albinos, very ashamed.

I literally cried while watching this video, we are so ungrateful for things we have and these kids do not have anything, you know they have not a choice like us. If we do not feel well, we go and visit the doctor and take our medicine. We reallly should be thankful for the little things we have.
Thank you for the video <3

I'm American and have albinism, I was fortunate enough to be born and grow up in this wonderful country with so many tools and resources at my disposal. Today I am a doctor. It breaks my heart to see these children and the future they could've had had they been born in a better country.

You mean to tell me that in this day and age, people sever the limbs of innocent children and eat them? That’s utterly insane.

My daughter has albinism(white albinism) and she's the best thing that's ever happened to us🥰. I'd go to extreme lengths to protect her!!!!

Hi, I’m a Tanzanian. There was a law that was passed that makes it illegal and In humane to kill an Albino. Anyone found threatening or trying to kill an albino is Imprisoned.

I’m Ghanaian and I’m basically in love with an albino girl in my university but she doesn’t want me getting close to her because she’s insecure (for obvious reasons) I only wish she knew how genuine my feelings towards her are. It’s not her fault though cause people here treat her weird but I don’t

These kids look like angels, anyone who harms them for superstitious purposes are disgusting barbarians.

This makes me so sad. I'm a daughter of an albino dad who has even lost one eye due to trying so hard to see or "fix" himself, he is one of 3 albino brothers. Being albino is never easy, jobs aren't as easy because what takes a minute for us to do, takes 5 minutes for them but I never saw my dad as any less, always believed in him. Just like I believe in these children. NEVER LET YOURSELF DOWN ❤️ You may be different, everything may be super hard and getting anywhere may seem super daunting especially without support or on your own but you can do it 🤍 you are a person like anyone else who has strengths and weaknesses, find what you like to do and go for it ❤️ take advantage of your strengths, there is always a way! I hope you can find a safe place in and from this world ❣️

It hurts to know that they are hiding that secret from that boy.

I hope great things come for those kids.

Yooo my mind is blown away !! Why doesn’t the media or our government think this is important enough to put in world news !! Is their a way for us to help these children ? Like better beds and hats and glasses ? Please let me know !

You brought me back in January 22. I was in Tanzania (Arusha) at a school for pupils with disabilities. There were many albinos.
I habe never seen so much happy kids. When I think about my children (6 & 10) with their first world problems…

I love you documentary. Go on and do this great work!
