Mine is Avid Book store in West End - I used to live in the area and even though I think my interests are not ‘run of the mill’ I could always find a few books there that I had to buy.

Mine's not there any more as the owner, Jan Percival, very sadly died in 1997. Pemberton Books in High Street Armadale (Melbourne, Australia) was the most welcoming space I've ever been in. Jan had the biggest heart, overflowing with love. She had a genuine interest in each of her customers and was able to guide each of us to exactly what we needed. That's what made it so very special.

I would visit Sappho books for sure. Seems intriguing and cosmopolitan (if that makes any sense). But I live in Canada so a one way ticket could get me there.

Bookness in Mudgeeraba, QLD. Always great to find a small independent bookstore in a country town. Plus, it does great coffee and has regular children's storytelling in a dedicated area of the shop. Win, win, win!
