A few weeks ago, a friend of mine asked me which funds to invest for Rs. 25,000 SIP. Before I could suggest anything, he mentioned a condition – he said he's exhausted from watching videos about the best mutual funds. He feels that if a fund performs well one year, it might not do so well the next. He wants funds that are suitable for the next 15-20 years so he doesn't have to worry every year.

So, I suggested he consider index funds. Nowadays, there are many new types of funds in the market whose performance and risk parameters are much better than the Nifty Index, and their cost, that is, expense ratio, is also quite low.
