this only solidifies that my purchase of 7800x3d is the best and good option

Anything but intel, it's time for them to learn that they cant keep getting away with putting out anything because they are on top.

No matter what cpu you use you should always pair it with the ryzrn 4070

DUDE!!! Been subbed to you for a while, but never really appreciated the quality of your videos (transitions, lighting, everything). You definitely deserve way more subs and you encouraged me to build two pcs: one for me and another for my sister. Beautiful content as always

Not a hard choice - pick Ryzen 7000 - any one of them - Ryzen 7 7800x3d is what I picked up.

Buying right now a 7800x3d. I'd wait for 15th gen Intel the 1700 socket gives you no upgrade

Simply avoid whatever intel is making. 7800x3d if you have the money and only game, or something with more cores for productivity. AM4 with 5800x3d or cheaper, if you are on a tighter budget.

It is rumored that TDP will increase to 105W with BIOS update which could increase the perfomace about 15-20%.

I can now safely say I recommend the Ryzen 7 7800x3D, I had some issues with it at the start when I brought it last November with my system booting up and issues with the motherboard not reading my DDR5 ram but the last 2 bios updates have sorted them issues out.

6:57 You've been misled on the efficiency due to the way the chips have been named. If you compare the 7600 (non-x) to the 9600x and the 7700 (non-x) to the 9700x, you'll find the specified TDP of 65w is the same, the older chips use slightly less power and that the performance uplift of the new CPU is very small. I very much doubt we will have non-x variants of the 9000 series chips.

I just bought 7700X for 290€ with VAT or 238€ without VAT on Amazon, could care less about processors as if you game on 3440 x 1440 as do I processor is just not that important, as is GPU, I just wanted good all around processor for a nice price

I'm very inexperienced with CPUs, but why is the key measure by FPS, if CPU's are focused on general desktop use? I have a dedicated gaming PC for sim racing, with a current Intel i7 9700k and a 4080 and I game at 4K only. I cap my FPS at around 100 max as I can't even notice anything above that and I am 95% single player and not multiplayer. Will I get any benefit in upgrading to a new 9900X, or even a previous gen 7800x3D?

Wait.. they didn't lower the TDP on 7950X -> 9950X ? They're both 170w.

7800x3d is the only thing that makes sense for a new build. If you’re already on the am4 and don’t have as much to send then get a 57800x3d.
