My wife used birth control for the first year of our marriage and for our first anniversary I gifted her a fancy trash can for her to throw them away in. We have never had any issues with conceiving even to our last child at 41, but I have many friends who used birth control for the first 5 to 7 years of their marriage who struggled intensely when they were finally ready to have children. Many miscarriages and some complete inability reproduce. It’s a huge issue.
