I usually buy these first thing when Costco opens and I've noticed the rice is much better around that time rather than later in the day. Definitely mid sushi but for the price I keep coming back.

The rice is starchy as fuck. Sometimes its pretty dry too. It makes me wonder if they even washed it before they cooked it.

I get the sushi platters fairly often, its good but usually pretty rice heavy it could definitely benefit from less rice. My Costco carries a different brand because our California rolls definitely have the avocado and I've never seen that brand before

My Costco’s sushi is the same. Just all right. The rice is always very dry. It works in a pinch but I’d rather have fresh.

i think its very much a gamble. i was a big fan of the platter but there has been a few times were i ONLY ate the fish/fillings and avoided all rice. others, it tastes like what u pay for so i just dont get it now 😢

Rice is super hard to keep fresh after cooked so I feel like I’d have to give it a pass if you want it just to satisfy your sushi craving for a bit

Grocery stores that have good sushi near me are little stands that Korean and Chinese people hand make because they make good rice.
