Miles really wanted to learn about quantum physics so he could see Gwen and Peter again just to find out they could see him whenever he wants

From the audience’s perspective, we know why Gwen did what she did and what she’s doing to fix it, but from Miles perspective he understandably sees it as a betrayal. He trusted Gwen with his heart and in return she not only neglected to tell him the truth about his existence, she goes along with the plan of letting his father die.

All that said is I can’t wait to see Gwen make up with Miles in Pt.3!

Both Gwen and Peter would feel worse if they find out in Beyond that Miles was willing to learn quantum physics just to see them again, only to find out the plan. No wonder he felt betrayed.

They both were betrayed, and both had reasoning

Miles wanted to learn quantum physics and leave NY just so he could potentially find a way to travel to other dimensions to see Gwen again because of how much he missed her. Miles even drew Gwen in his notebook dozens of times because he thought he’d never see her again. After all this, all Miles knows is that Gwen could have visited him whenever she wanted but chose not to. And not to mention Gwen said that she wished she never came to see Miles, and turned her back on Miles for the Spider Society. And the most important detail, she knew that Miles was an anomaly, she knew his dad was going to die, but chose not to say anything, despite her caring for Miles. She lied to him over and over. No wonder Miles feels betrayed, he doesn’t trust her anymore. Miles just wants to save his dad, he did nothing wrong.

Gwen on the other hand didn’t really have a choice. She accidentally killed her best friend Peter, she can’t tell anybody about it, she pushes almost everyone away. She has no friends except Miles who lives in an alternate dimension which she has no way to go to, her dad and the police force were hunting her, only to find out that she is Spider Woman, the one who “killed” Peter, and after all that, her own dad points a gun at her even after hearing her speech. At this point Gwen is basically homeless. She gets an option to join the Spider Society of people she thinks accepts her, so of course she wants to join. Gwen wanted to go see Miles but was explicitly told not to by the Spider Society, but still chose to see him because of how much she missed him. Miles is the only person Gwen thinks understands her. After all that, she’s forced to never see Miles again until he literally follows her through dimensions. Gwen then tells Miles that she wished she never came to see him. After this, Miles eventually ends up in the Spider Society where he finds out about canon events and that his father is going to die and that he’s an anomaly, and Gwen had no idea how to tell him. I mean come on, how would you tell someone you love that they are going to lose someone important to them? Miles left and doesn’t trust her. He also told Gwen that she was right, and that she should have never came to see him. And the expression on Gwen’s face after Miles says that says it all. So after this Gwen formed a spider team to go save Miles in Earth 42. She even left the Spider Society, that’s how much she cares. And in the beginning of the movie Gwen even explained how she didn’t want to hurt Miles. It’s safe to say Gwen definitely cares and loves Miles, but in this situation I can see why Miles wouldn’t trust her. Even if Gwen had no choice.

Something was definitely broken between them that can’t be put back together, but in BTSV, Gwen will probably save Miles and apologize to him. If all goes well, they will make peace and Gwen will earn Miles trust back. And maybe, just maybe, they will get in a romantic relationship.

0:11 The combination of the voice actress and the animation really makes it authentic. Rather than "It was a mistake", this is "I didn't think it would come to this."

Before anyone jumps on conclusion:

Yes Miles as a young dude is ahead of his age, but in the end, Gwen is only 16 & can barely think for herself before she breaks rhe shackles of niavety & decides to follow her own justice, learning that from Miles which she clarifies when she speaks to Miles' parents near the ending.

Amazing character growth for someone who is the secondary main character to Miles (and at some points, the main protagonist in this sequel).

But seriously, I love Gwen and Miles and I hope they do level things out.
