I'm angry at the complete disregard of plastic still in the food chain like tetrapacks with plastic lids and plastic claws that hold the lid. They are not necessary. The French company BonSoy doesn't have them just lift the side flap and cut it to pour the drink and if possible into a litre glass bottle kept for that purpose. Plastic straws attached to children's popper drinks. I never had to drink from a straw. The local councils that don't see the benefits of planting deciduous trees in the suburban streets. The shocking abuse of the rubbish bin systems.

I knew we were headed this way in the 1980's. I predicted in 2022 that we would be close to 1.5C if not reach it by the end of '23 and we did. Thawing of the permafrost, no discernable slowdown of petroleum and the world at war with fascism on the rise. I think we will hit 1.51 or 1.52C globally by the end of '24 with the rise of temperature accelerating every year. Face it, we're doomed. We can't even stop discriminating against each other for what is basically superficial nonsense. For about the last 50 years I've heard the same bs about the environment, pollution, loss of habitat and species, that this is an existential crisis but we're so self centred and selfish we couldn't be bothered. At least we'll hold the record for the shortest epoch 👍 Lets hope the next era the creatures stay dumb and basic, and don't get clever like us
