That cover for Shadow of the Gods is amazing! I hope to start reading John Gwynne's work soon. Malice is on my Kindle. Can't wait!
I'm curious about the Atlas Six, but I've heard mixed things about the sequels. Still sounds interesting, though.
I read my first T Kingfisher (Nettle and Bone) a while back, and quite enjoyed it. Hoping to try her other books as well.
The Devil in the White City looks so interesting!

Congrats on reaching your 5000 pages goal ! I'm glad the surgery went well. I'm happy for you that you enjoyed the Inadequate Heir so much, I personnaly hated it 😅. Couldn't stand the characters and their romance that was too sex based IMO. My only 1 star review of the year so far. I had Dnfs but this one I finished.

question : when you re-read books, do you read everything a to z or skim some pages once in a while ? i know when i'm re-reading, i rarely read everythin unless i really do not remember anything. I got close to 5000p! i'm at 4500ish so am very happy. I read through the broken bonds series by J.Bree which is really fun and giggly type of story and is my fav read of august! i picked the inheritance trilogy by NK jemisin ( loved the first book, second book was ok DNF third book) and i also picked up fourth wing and iron flame by rebecca yarros (fourth wing was such a trip to read, iron flame less) so all in all a very good book month :) i am definitely lookign forward to finishing up the pleated prisoner series by raven kennedy (i am up to date till 4 but am waiting for the last one to come out so i can read 5 en 6), i am glad to hear you liked gold!
