Jeremy, you forgot to describe how to deploy & migrate using on-prem tools. Not everyone has access to, or can afford to buy, Intune. Still others simply don't like it, or prefer tools like System Center.

When I have multiple instances of an application open, why doesn't clicking the icon on the taskbar cycle through the open instances by last used? Why do I have to hover over an icon, wait for a tiny preview, then click on that preview without missing? This is an accessibility issue that needs addressing.

I know you can now unmerge tasks, but on Windows 11 this quickly makes your taskbar into a complete mess.

I just want an OS that works. Had 24H2 installed from 23H2 for an hour fighting warning messages but when could not install Nvidia drives and ended up with no drivers that was the time to back out. How about spending some time testing the updates before rolling it out. Each release gets worse. Worst yet.

I love that Windows Hello locks/unlocks the screen of my laptop (HP Dragonfly G3). However, no matter what power settings I specify (never turn off screen, never put to sleep when plugged in, etc.), as soon as I leave the laptop and Windows Hello locks the screen, running programs (e.g., Clipchamp saving a video as mp4, etc.) grind to a halt and nothing happens until I'm back in front of the laptop.

What are the advantages for the new "Personal Data Encryption" (PDE) over NTFS encryption (EFS)? EFS has been available since Windows 2000 and supports all the features you mentioned for PDE. EFS does not require Intune and changes take effect immediately. EFS works on all Windows editions except Home, where PDE requires Enterprise or Edu SKUs.

In the article one of the bullet points was "Rust in the Windows kernel" however it seems to not be touched on in the video. All I could find online is that some of the libraries used in the kernel were rewritten in rust, so does this mean the kernel has received a performance uplift from some of these changes as a result?

We can't upgrade if TPM 2.0 or 8th or newer cpu gen is not present, but clean install can be done, only having TPM 1.2 present with Microsoft Windows official media.

System Restore with 24H2 you can't t it come 's with an error you can't (0x80070015) There No fix fir this all services that work with it and regerster edit CMD fixes sfc DSIM don't fix the issue. this was from the Oct 1 ISO download .

Would be great if you still allowed to download 23h2 iso for a bit, bluescreened for a whole day after the release of 24h2. 13th gen intel cpu and never had Bluescreens until this update. 5 times reinstall of windows. Pfft.
