Do you have a link to this announcement anywhere? - So Hudson Valley was Windows 11 24H2 all along? I have been hanging on to my late 2016 Windows 10 PC, hoping to skip over Windows 11 completely.

Should we equate 24H2 to the equivalent of Windows XP Service Pack 2 which supposedly gave XP a big boost

Did you know that Microsoft now wants you to reinstall Windows 11 for a fresh install to get Canary in the Insider's program? It never was like this before. Does it have something to do with compatibility? I did it. Now on Canary 24H2.

I was shocked to discover that here in the United Kingdom, most shops are still Running Windows XP on their checkout Tills . So that does beg the question around security...how secure are they and who is supplying updates to their systems ?

no updates can fix the ugly interface of windows 11, rip microsoft

So what can be done or deleted to stop a possibly affected computer from "updating" to 24H2? That would be the most useful information.

I got two 10 pro Updates yesterday - one early and one about midnight. Did we all? The stuck one is still stuck. Thanks as this unusual as can be

They will probably release 12 in 2025 when 10 goes out of support. Unless they decide to extend 10 and delay 12. Are a lot of people actually going to pay to get security updates for 10?

I don't understand the people who say windows 11 is a joke, no body can satisfiy their urges.

Problem is 10 is EOL Oct 2025 and 11 is still a joke.

So is Windows 12 coming out this year? Ha ha just playing with you. You said don’t ask so I thought I’d be a wise guy but anyway, here’s the deal for me. I do see where you’re coming from because of the windows 10 popularity, and all that and not wanting to maintain operating systems that much. Screen reader companies would definitely be happy with this. Yeah, a lot of the code of windows may be the same in Windows 10 or 11 but there are certain aspects where a screen reader would need to do something a little bit different. So if there were like three, or four windows going on, Depending on how many users of that older windows was there, screen, reader companies could, in theory, stop supporting one of the windows, operating systems. Now windows 10 for instance, being popular, they might support a little more. This is just hypothetical. Now screamers I’m not talking about narrator. I am talking about third-party screen readers. Anyway, on the other hand, I kinda liked the windows as a service model. Because then you would just be supporting different builds. As far as I’m concerned, it should just be called Windows, professional, or Windows, home, edition, or Windows enterprise, or business or whatever they wanna call the flavors. You download the latest ISO file you buy your product, key for professional or home or whatever, and the operating system is just called windows. No more windows 11 no more windows 12, just called Windows and you can release a feature update every year or whatever. Just keep introducing the new features overtime. I kinda would like them to go back to that. But we’ll see what happens at the windows team. Anyway, that’s my talk for today and may everyone have a wonderful day. Thanks again for all the cool stuff that you talk about.
