I became FI at 38 (Oct 24) from dividends and RE. A week later, my employer let me go. I haven't looked back. Thank you for creating these videos.

I took your stock market course a couple years ago and every time I buy another dividend fund share, it’s a win. 🏆🏁

Dear Amon and Christina,

I don’t remember exactly when I first commented here about how happy I was after earning just a few cents in dividends—such a small yet memorable milestone. The second time was when my husband and I hit $100K, and we rewarded ourselves with a trip to Portugal.

Now, we’re so close to reaching half a million, which still feels unreal and unbelievable. To celebrate, we’re planning a trip to Italy.

We’re not retiring anytime soon—we’re still in our late 30s—but we truly enjoy the journey of accumulating wealth. I can’t thank you both enough for being such an inspiration on this path.

This was very encouraging- thank you. Having been self-employed for the past 20+ years I like to celebrate that I haven't missed a meal yet and I recently I just reached the milestone of being completely debt-free...continued best wishes to you all

As an early 50's person who will be retiring soon, I had to smile today at the thrift store when I overheard a couple of 20-something young ladies talking about Roths.

This makes me feel much better. I’ve been saving for a home since I was young (15) with absolutely no knowledge of investing, savings accounts, etc. so I felt I’ve been behind. By the time I finished with my masters degree, I had saved $65k. Now I’m at $80k, not including the $10k I have in my retirement account.

I’m splitting my savings into $30k for emergency fund and $50k for a home and going from there. We’re saving at a rate of ~$1-2k a month because we stick to a budget and are intentional about what we spend on. No impulse buys, no services we can do ourselves, and NO overconsumption!
This year I told my family we weren’t buying anyone Christmas gifts because no one NEEDS anything and that helped save us over $500!

Thank you, two, for that confirmation. I do count my blessings after my divorce. My children and I were "floating" just trying to find my footing, and we found it in the form of a mobile home. The rent is lower by 1.5 as opposed to an apartment, and I'm able to afford it. I like listening to you, and I would like to set up my stock portfolio one day. Thank you again for useful info. ❤

Well, I'm finally doing it. I'll be in Portugal full time by end of October of this year. I'm going to do a little consulting work in the U.S. from Portugal but otherwise, I'm done working full time. You guys were my introduction to FIRE so I appreciate all the knowledge I've gained in watching your videos over the past few years. I'm doing a couple of Roth conversions this month so I'll give myself a little bit of room on my taxable accounts. If all works as planned, I will be in the Algarve by Halloween. There is a lot to be said for sunshine and sangria! I will be doing a lot of travel in Portugal and around Europe. This chapter of my life will be about adventure and exploration.
