It is much easyier to focus on turning money into more money when all of your basic needs are met without using the majority of your resources. Motivation and discipline are huge when youre in the lower to middle class.

I buy stuff that increases my enjoyment of life. I spent two years having cancer treatments and spent a pile of time in the chemo ward with some rich people. Cancer doesn’t discriminate. Most of the people I spoke to wished they’d enjoyed their lives, and not spent it looking into the past or future. All we have is now, and our attention. ❤

Poor people are always worried about their next meal, how to pay their bills, if they'll be homeless next month. They always live paycheck to paycheck.
They are always one paycheck away from homelessness.
Or, one illness away to homelessness.
I was homeless for four years after my husband died. I lost everything.
I'm still paying on his hospital bills and cremation.
