‘It Draws Your Heart,’ Filipino Nurses Help Fund Meals for Nurses Strike

Inday’s Kitchen, a Filipino food truck, helped serve more than 300 meals to picketing nurses on Wednesday. The truck operators say the strike has impacted a large concentration of nurses within the Filipino community. “To see them on strike and to see them impacted by what’s going on in businesses today, it draws your heart. It pulls you in, and you want the best for both parties,” said Boo Dava with Inday’s Kitchen. Dava said Filipino nurses helped fund the meals supplied by the food truck for the nurses on strike.
