Explanation from a Filipino: The word gago/gaga means idiot or bastard in english. While the word idiot and bastard may not be that heavy of a word, it's a swear in Filipino terms. The gaga variation of the word is used when you are saying it to a girl.

Edit: There's actually a third variant in fact, it is "Gagi". The word gagi is often used as slang in the Philippines nowadays specially with the teenagers. The word itself is an expression used when you get surprised like 'woah!' or 'what?!' Do keep in mind it still counts as a swear word.
