Very good video.
Just saw this, my sister and brother in law retired and did something similar about 12 years ago.
Bought a duplex and rented part of it and absolutely love it there. They are in their early 70’s now.

Ive talked to people that buy a truck and put a small house package in it, drive it here and sell the truck at a profit. I came up here in 79 with everything my young son and I owned in a Datsun pickup. I did odd jobs around the Mat Su the first summer living in a dry cabin. I then got slope jobs in electronics and telecommunications.

Thank you Adam for your videos. You help lots of folks. My husband, pets, and I are still moving to Missouri. Not until September though. Your videos were the first step I took to prepare for our move from Alaska. Gave me hope and confidence.
Thanks again to you and Christina. 🙂

Hello! I'm a new subscriber and just found you today. Your information is the most down to Earth that I've found and I want to thank you for that. I'm considering Alaska and I'm in the process of gathering information to that I can make a viable plan. Thanks again!

I just joined the Alaska Air Guard, from what I understand this automatically makes me a citizen of Alaska but haven’t seen that in writing
I’m interested in buying land in Alaska but I live in Missouri

Absolutely amazing content. Greatly appreciate the insight. I was curious though. In your opinion what would sell better? A 7 x 14 or a 7 x 16. Keep up the great work. Thank you!

Hello bud. I'm William from South Georgia. I'm in Phoenix right now. Please not to sound poorly but I have no family anymore I raised my girls put them through college but had to leave a 21 year marriage, she was a cruel woman. Anyway I did my job I stayed and raised them but since i left they all have disowned me. It's ok I satisfied that I did the right thing I left 9 months ago and now I want to fulfill my #1 bucket list and that's to live and retire in Alaska. I've been told so many stories about free houses in Anchorage off grid? But I think I've been who dood? Anyway I don't have much money I left everything to them, if you no the cheapest way to get there I would be more than thank ful to ya. Really sir any information on how to get there cheep would really help me. That's if ya can bud, if not that's ok. Thank you for any response. Y'all stay safe. William.

Where/How/On what site do you sell the used vehicles once you get to Alaska? Are there any problems on the border if your hauling a trailer with another vehicle that one should be aware of? Thank you for all of your truthful insights. You may have changed my life for the better. Keep at it!

That's good information. I personally have a Hyundai SUV, front drive. It can't pull much. If I bought an Expedition and a trailer my stuff would have to go in the trailer so how would I get my Hyundai up there? Also, what happens when you want to move back to the lower 48? You can't buy a truck and trailer there because you'd lose money selling it once you get down here.

I've heard so many horror stories from people who've moved to Alaska and became stranded up there. I get calls from these guys complaining about things like finding work, places to live and so on.

I’m 30 now living in Florida and strongly considering moving to alaska. Unfortunately I never got my diploma (yes I know dumb) but my question is how realistic is it to get a decent labor job and create a decent living? I’ve done landscaping for the past 14 years so I don’t mind hard work at all. I’m big on fishing which is one of the many reasons I want to make the move, maybe there’s fishing industry type jobs?? Thanks in advance!

Hi Adam, what would you recommend buying in the lower 48 to move with and reselling in AK? Make, model and year?

Wow, thank you sir. You are really informative and your insight is greatly appreciated. I’d love to help you get in better health and we would love nothing more than help getting up to AK with 4 children (1 infant) and two grandparents in their mid 70’s (1 is a vet.) in tow. Not sure how to make it happen logistically caring for an infant and needed to drive but we are gun loving, unjabbed, family focused and outdoor loving people. :) we are currently in CO and really want to move to AK going on 3 years now. Thank you for your videos and your kindness in explaining everything.
