Knowing that I have everything that is required to be in the advanced level and yet being an intermediate frustrates me a lot

I've been learning my target language for 2 1/2 years now, and I'm probably at a B1 level. My reading, writing and listening skills are better than my speaking skills, but I'm told that's fairly normal. This year I've started putting in about an hour a day of dedicated language learning in my target language, and I can sense my language skills improving. I like your advice about identifying and using collocations. I'm really motivated to improve to a B2 level, and will keep putting in the time on a consistent basis, try to incorporate a multi-faceted approach, and hopefully the results will take care of themselves.

Very good advice. Native English speaker here, and I must say your English is superb. Plus your accent is essentially flawless. Very impressive!

I know the secret!
Reading doesn't work without speaking.
The more you're doing something the better you are with it! Wanna speak in English fluently? Speak English until you reach this goal.
The biggest difference between an amateur and a professional is that the professional made more mistakes than the amateur made attempts!

2:30 this happened with me for spanish! Like I considered myself very good at the pronunciation but like i learnt some words with incorrect pronunciation so my brain didnt recognize the correct one. For months i kept saying 'nadie' as < nah-dii > then in a song the singer went "nah-di-eeeyy" and they really put an emphasize on the last syllable and i was so confused thinking, that's not how its pronounced, then I looked at the word again, sounded it out, and realized i'd been saying the wrong thing for 11 months

Great tips indeed thank you, I will treasure especially the one about non-generic words 🙂, unfortunately English is a quite specific language 😅
Look, Watch, See, View, Stare, Gaze, Glance, Peek, Peer, Scan, Inspect, Survey, Observe, Behold, Leer, Gawk, Ogle, Squint, Survey, Scrutinize, Snoop, Spot, Glimpse, Spy, Peruse, Lurk. 😭

By the way, your accent is so beautiful, you could apply to be a newsreader for the BBC!

Hi Good morning from Myanmar. I've been learning english 2 years nearly but my take on is that it didn't work much as i hope. British accent appeals to me tremendously. I feel i have a weakness in pronounciation. Fortunately, your vedio for boosting my accent in british is exceedingly great for me. ohh by the way, your british accent is lovely. Thanks a lot for your kindness.😘😘

Thank you so much for those language tips. The big idea for me was a collocation dictionary. I need one in French to express my ideas more clearly. Everything you said should help me to move towards advanced a French from intermediate. I really appreciate your assistance. Have a great day.
