"Imagine it's 6 months in the future..." that's how the question starts, and damn it's a dark horse.

I came to this channel for fonts and now I'm asking myself why I stop myself from being more awesome.

What a journey.

"Let's take that thing that Anxiety is making you think about anyway and put it to the productive use for which the Anxiety developed in the first place."
This is something that I have been trying to get nailed into my head for a while and this video was the hammer I needed.

"How would you assume someone you look up to would handle this situation?", "How would you assume you would teach a solution to someone else who is learning?", and "How would you assume someone you don't get along with would handle this situation?"

Often, putting the issue through the "car wash" of observational shifting allows you to take up the role and lean into it a bit more. It is the leverage of this question I use all the time when I attempt to be a human once a year:

"What don't you want?" often used when people have a really hard time picking where they want to go eat as a group. If you ask where they want to go, they have a million choices. When they know where they don't want to go, they often have one choice that pops out right away.

The line about ‘so you can analyze your qualities instead of your regrets’ is what sold this idea for me.

I’m a gen z kid so I’ve got an internet addiction. I’ve been on YouTube for a decade now and I can say without a doubt your channel is my all time favourite!

as someone who tends to spend hours overthinking and regretting mistakes in the past, this is such an amazing way to scratch that same itch, but to actually feel good and productive about it.

I would love it if your journal prompts were available as stickers!

My biggest struggle with promot journals is that there's either too much room or too little to cover the topic. If stickers were available, I could finally hit that goldilocks zone 🤩

I like the chose-your-own-adventure-book question because it makes me be more specific. I have a ton of paths I'm interested in, but a kids' book can only have so many options and you have to choose a specific action. If I were reading an adventure book and the options were A) write a book or B) write an album, I couldn't pick because that's too vague. Now if it's A) write the sequel to your favorite book or B) produce an album in the style of your favorite artist, that's a lot more telling.

For reference, these are the questions and their original framings as I interpreted them:
- You start a project and in 6 months time it fails because of you. Why?
(→ How can I improve the likelihood that I succeed in this project?)
- What would this exact situation right now be like if I had no arms?
(→ what am I grateful for?)
- What haven’t I noticed in this room before?
(→ How can I be more present)
- If I were to make this decision many times over (say 5) which decision would likely result in the best outcome in the pick-a-path book of my life?
(→ Which decision should I make?)
- What are 30 solutions to this problem? You have limited time to list them (say 5 minutes).
(→ Which decision should I make?)
- What would this look like if it were easy? - Tim Ferris
(→ How can I get this done?)

Man I love the way you think, like it's nothing typical that you see on youtube when people talk about life advice and stuff. I usually feel kind of desperate after watching those like they are not about me at all, like others can take it and make it and I'm just not it. Guess finding you here was so relieving, you're so curious and fun about seemingly serious stuff. You're relatable to me because you've talked about your previous lifestyle and your ADHD, and in that way seeing you finding your way and getting playful with it is in fact inspiring and so nice. Keep on going you lovely bastard and thank you for sharing!

It's a small thing but the 'subscribe if you're new' line at the end I think is really cool as it respects someone that has been watching your videos for a while and hasn't subscribed because they do not owe you that. But it also acknowledges you have subscribers that do exist.
I might be looking too much into this

This is quite literally one of the greatest and most thought provoking, mind engaging videos I've watched - this is one of those mindset/thought exercises I'll carry with me forever

One of the best things to pair with journaling is GRATITUDE.
Finding a way to be grateful for whatever it is that enters it's way into your journal is huge. It can immediately alter our neurochemistry to reshape our experience with a certain life every, which can ITSELF unlock so many more lessons that we would not have otherwise had access to.

Fantastic video, thanks!

Around 3:23'. "Anticipate the failure, and imagine if you caused it what was the thing inside you that was doing it". (Rough paraphrase.). This was a revelation to me concerning on the biblical practice of repentance.
You described in a practical way the internal examination before making a permanent change for the better or excepting gods gift for one's self.
Thanks for putting traction on that word for me.
