So, the taxpayers are literally paying for the government to spend our money to have a warrantless search. This should be public knowledge in every arrest, and the company that provided the information should be named every single time.

We should be able to rely on the police and the executive department to react to a Supreme Court ruling by complying with the Constitutional intent the court states rather than have those agencies skirt the ruling. When those people who have sworn to defend the Constitution do this kind ot thing, they should lose their jobs and their pensions.

If it was obtained with out a warrant they shouldn’t be able to use it even if they bought the information

If I go anywhere "iffy" (J6, range, etc) my cell is either left behind and I carry a "burner", or it's in a Faraday bag. Screw the govt spying Gestapo...

I wouldn't call it a loophole more like the Supreme court fed up and did not make that ruling global and made it to narrow since there is other service that you have no choice to opt out of location sharing.

I would think using a data broker as opposed to phone company would have a chain of custody issue with many more "middlemen '.

Perhaps the most important part of this is the fact that they could ask for the search warrant and get it with no problem but they don't even want to take the smallest step possible to let you keep your rights.

I would think turning off "Location" on your phone and using a VPN to mask your location would thwart this effort.
